PROJECT/CAMPAIGN: University of Alabama Branding
SITUATION: The University of Alabama had not updated its branding and visual identity standards in 15 years. During that time, colleges, departments and programs had developed their own marks and looks, and a consistent, coordinated brand no longer existed.
SOLUTION: We conducted extensive research with focus groups and conducted interviews to receive feedback to develop an updated brand and visual identity. A simplified but comprehensive brand architecture was implemented. We created a comprehensive, understandable visual identity standards manual that was made available to all colleges and departments. The updated brand standards were well received with unanimous buy-in.
